Is the hillclimb racer and the leader of the Tochigi-based Seven Star Leaf. He seems to be a decent enough driver, again favouring the grip racing techniques, but his mastery of it is incomparable to that of Takeshi Nakazato. Atsuro races against Keisuke Takahashi during Project D's first expedition in Tochigi.
Known as the Skyline GT-T, the GT-T, or the ER34, is the signature vehicle of Seven Star Leaf leader, Atsuro Kawai and the second Nissan Skyline introduced in the series. The ER34 is equipped with a RB25DET, a turbocharged engine. Atsuro's ER34 made 400PS.
