Like the rest of the team, he drives a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. He has a long time rivalry with Ryosuke Takahashi. He is also a graduate of the Todo School. Unlike other students, however, he doesn't drive a Honda, and doesn't use Spoon parts on his car.
Known as the Lan Evo, or as the Evo III, is the signature vehicle of Emperor leader Kyoichi Sudo. The Evo III is fitted with a 4G63T, a turbocharged engine. For the battle against Takumi on Akagi the car had 310PS, however it was raised to 350PS for his battle with Ryosuke.
